Painting was started on location and finished a few years later in the studio. This "bottom-land" Farm is located along the Conewango Creek south of Frewsburg, New York. Dark storm clouds were approaching from the southwest as the last wagon-load of dried hay was being baled and hopefully brought inside the barn before the storm's arrival.
