Subject is an abandoned dory dragged up the beach above the high tide line waiting for its owner to haul it away. The late afternoon sun is abscured by an incoming fogbank. This event often occurs along the Maine Coast in the late afternoon when the rising warm air over the sun-warmed shore line rises and the cooler ocean-waters-air is allowed to move on shore bringing the fogbank with it.
